Dear Colleauges,
Cardiac electrophysiology and pacing are one of the most rapidly developing fields of cardiology. We are witnessing the advent of new energy modalities for ablation, novel physiologic options for pacing (conduction system pacing), and the opportunity to develop complete X-ray free EP labs. Also, some older ablation concepts are being revisited, like high power short duration radiofrequency ablation, and novel resizable cryoballoon devices. Furthermore, in structural VT ablation, there are new strategies for ablation planning (high-density CT imaging) and for energy delivery (Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy). Considering these developments, this special issue, “Advances in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing” aims to collect high-quality original research papers and comprehensive reviews on the recent developments in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and pacing. The topics of interest include but are not limited to:
-
- Pulse field ablation for atrial fibrillation treatment
- Pulse field ablation for other cardiac substrates
- Conduction system pacing
- Zero fluoro ablation
- Hi power short duration RF ablation
- Resizable cryoballoon for AF ablation
- Imaging in ventricular tachycardia ablation
- SBRT therapy for VT in structural heart disease
- VT ablation in LVAD carriers
- Left atrial appendage occluders
- ICDs in the era of optimized, quadruple heart failure medical therapy
- Resynchronization therapy – CSP vs CRT

Manuscripts should be submitted via our online editorial system at https://imr.propub.com by registering and logging in to this website. Once you are registered, click here to start your submission. Manuscripts can be submitted now or up until the deadline. All papers will go through peer-review process. Accepted papers will be published in the journal (as soon as accepted) and meanwhile listed together on the special issue website. Research articles, reviews as well as short communications are preferred. For planned papers, a title and short abstract (about 100 words) can be sent to the Editorial Office to announce on this website.
Submitted manuscripts should not have been published previously, nor be under consideration for publication elsewhere (except conference proceedings papers). All manuscripts will be thoroughly refereed through a double-blind peer-review process. Please visit the Instruction for Authors page before submitting a manuscript. The Article Processing Charge (APC) in this open access journal is 2200 USD. Submitted manuscripts should be well formatted in good English.
